Happy Forever Day, Grady!

Yesterday, I saw God’s love lived out in a beautiful way that I had never experienced before. If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you know that friends of ours were able to finally adopt the little boy who they had been fostering for the past 18 months. Jill and Mike asked me to be at the courthouse with them to capture the memory of this incredible day, and I was so blessed to be apart of it.

As I was standing in the courtroom during the adoption, I was completely overwhelmed with emotion… The Langham’s were extending their unconditional love to Grady, inviting him to be a part of their family, and now he is their son FOREVER. This was a great reminder to me of the unconditional love that was extended to me when the Lord picked me up out of my sin and depravity (yes, even as an “innocent” six year old), and welcomed me into HIS family forever. Just like Grady was given a new identity, so was I. While I am still the daughter of Steve & Barbara, I am ultimately the daughter of the King of kings, and THAT is where my identity lies.

I am so thankful that the Lord is so faithful in revealing Himself through the messed up lives of His people, and it is my prayer that He uses Grady’s story to further His kingdom and draw people to Himself.

This kid… Man, every time he saw my camera, he gave me the biggest smile ever. Love him!

It is just SO evident that Grady belongs to them.

They presented Grady with a teddy bear in celebration of his day. :)

Officially part of the family… FOREVER!

And I can finally share some pictures I took of the Langham’s last fall!

This boy is going to be a heartbreaker.

Happy Thursday! :)
