It is June. My goodness, how in the world did this happen?! I’m still in the process of getting caught up on editing (after all the graduation madness), especially since I’m shooting my first two weddings this weekend and next. SO EXCITED!!!! :)

Meet Jeremy & Elisha… They have been married for a few years now and decided that they wanted some updated pictures. Of course, I was more than happy to help. :) It was so much fun to shoot them because they are so funny and spent a lot of time laughing. As I was editing these, I kept thinking of one word to describe Elisha… regal. Just trust me… You’ll see what I mean!

Jeremy & Elisha, thanks so much for letting me hang out and laugh with ya’ll for a while. I had a BLAST and hope that you love your pictures! Here are my favorites…

Shortly after I snapped these first couple shots, Elisha was proposed to by a homeless man… In front of her husband. Yeah…

Elisha… You are SO beautiful!

Elisha owns her own flower company and makes some of the most stunning arrangements that I’ve ever seen!

Check out her work!

Jeremy & Elisha were playing probably the greatest game of all time. I’ll most likely be using it at all my future sessions. :)

Being home in Jacksonville for the past week has been awesome. I’ve been to the beach three times, have blistered, and I am now peeling. That’s the sign of some good (but painful) times. One thing that I have been missing about Lynchburg is downtown. I LOVE shooting downtown because there are so many awesome locations, even though its pretty stinkin’ small. There’s just something about it that’s awesome because its so rustic & dirty but also clean & green. Versatility always wins!

Last month, I met up with my friend Lauren and her fiancee Jack for engagement pictures. They will become Mr. & Mrs. Gutschlag in the summer of 2012, so they contacted me to document their love. As often happens, the rain kept us on our toes. Thankfully, by the end of the day, the sun had come out and dried up all the rain, so we got to head out and explore downtown.

Jack & Lauren, I had a blast with you two! Thanks for letting me capture your love and laughter, and I hope you love your pictures! :)

Sad that they had no money for tomatoes…

Oh, by the way… Lauren is also a supermodel.

I love the way they laugh together… Makes me smile. :)

I feel like I’ve been totally MIA from photography over the past few weeks. Every college student knows that the end of the semester is insane, and you’re more than lucky to survive. On top of the studying/cramming for finals, I babysat like it was my job (I guess it is my job) and was responsible for checking out 30 girls from my dorm. Somehow, I managed to make it to the end of the semester… The end of my time as an undergrad student.

I can only describe graduation as a hot mess… The day of graduation wasn’t too hot, only about 80 degrees. I know what you’re thinking… “Kelsey, you’re from Florida. How in the world can you be complaining about 80 degrees?” Well, I will agree that the temperature that day was not too bad, but once I added a fitted dress, black gown, academic stole (a.k.a. a really heavy velvet scarf), sash and ugly hat, I was sweating bullets. Somehow, by the grace of God, I made it through the day without passing out and received my bobo diploma. It was a blessing to have my whole family plus two sets of grandparents in town to celebrate, and I can now say that I’m an alumni of Liberty University. So weird. I don’t feel a huge sense of accomplishment or relief as most graduates feel because I’m returning to LU in the fall to pursue a Master of Arts in Theology. Basically, this isn’t really the end… It’s just a new start of a new beginning.

Oh yes… There’s that lovely cap. Isn’t it called mortar board or something like that? All I know is that whoever designed the graduation getup was definitely not a woman.

Here I am in the sea of graduates! I feel like this could have been a page in “Where’s Waldo?”, so I decided to help ya’ll out a bit… :)

Me and graduation buddy, Robert. Don’t let the smiles fool you… We were both about to die of heat exhaustion, but I guess we were a little excited to graduate too.
