Oh, How Pinteresting!

If you’ve been following the blog for the last couple months, you know that I’ve been trying to eat healthier and go to the gym four times a week. I italicized “trying” because I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve had a few off weeks. My mom visited last month (is February seriously already last month??), and I probably consumed enough calories for an entire month while she was here. No bueno. Thankfully, the last two weeks have been A LOT better, but not because I haven’t wanted to stuff my face with Great American Cookie’s Domino Cookies. I’ve wanted to… Really bad. What’s the deal with that?! I thought that once you start eating healthy and exercising consistently, you’re supposed to start craving broccoli and kale after your 10 mile leisure runs!! What in the world?? This whole week, all I’ve wanted to do is eat Velveeta buy the pound and cover all of my fruit with melted chocolate! This is just not right, people. If anyone has any tips to get rid of crazy, junk food cravings, PLEASE share, so I don’t end up on season 15 of The Biggest Loser. Speaking of The Biggest Loser, is anyone else Team Jeff and Team Danni??

Now, here’s the part where y’all can all laugh at me… This week’s installment of “Oh, How Pinteresting!” features nothing but food. Yes, I understand the irony. I’m just unrealistically hoping that by pinning lots of food, my cravings will go away. I’ll let you know how that works out… Like I said, I’m not super hopeful this method will work. Ha!

Apple Crisp! Totally healthy… The apples and oats cancel out the stick of butter, right?!

Tomato Parmesan Basil Soup… Because parmesan is my favorite cheese, in case anyone was wondering.

Ranch Bean Dip. Lots of protein! …And cheese.

Crispy Edamame. Okay, this could actually be considered healthy food, depending on how much parmesan you choose to put on it.
I don’t have high hopes for myself to use self-control in the parmesan area.

Snickerdoodle Cookie Waffles. I haven’t tried them yet, but I can imagine that these things are DANGEROUS.

Crockpot Pulled Pork. I have yet to find a recipe that I LOVE for pulled pork, so I hope this one does the trick!

Oh my word. Is anyone else’s mouth watering like crazy?! I think I’ll go cook something now… Healthy, of course. :)

Erin Fetterhoff - Eating a handful of nuts, a small piece of dark chocolate, or some peanut butter can help curb your sweet tooth craving if you want to keep it healthy! :) As for a Velveeta craving… I’ve got nothing! :) maybe a low-fat string cheese stick!
