I totally did not plan for everything on this installment of ‘Things I Love’ to be somewhat health related… It just kind of happened. Disclaimer: I am not a health nut, by any stretch of the imagination. I like Waffle Fries, Coke Zero, and I generally don’t like being very active or going outside. Don’t judge. :)
1. Spinning – It’s really hard to describe what Spinning is to someone who has never experienced it for themselves. Basically, its a super high-intensity cardio work-out that uses a special stationary bike. I remember the first time I tried a Spinning class, I thought, “That is never, ever, ever happening again.” But somehow this semester, I’ve ended up going about three times a week. Its one of those things that I HATE while I’m actually doing it, but I love it when I’m done.
2. Crunchy Peanut Butter CLIF Bars – Delicious and nutritious. :)
3. Yoplait Smoothies – For those of you that don’t personally know me, here’s a little secret: I am not a master of the kitchen, like my fellow women. In fact, before I found these little guys, I wasn’t even able to make a good smoothie. I always struggled with getting the right ratio of yogurt to fruit to milk. Thankfully, with these little magic bags of goodness from Yoplait, I can just cut it open, pour it into a blender, and add the instructed amount of milk. Perfect. :)
4. The Biggest Loser – This is probably the 6th season that I’ve followed. If you want to cry, laugh, and feel super motivated to get your butt kicked into shape, you need to watch this show. My favorites this season are Hannah, Olivia, and Rulon. Oh, and I have a giant crush on Bob Harper… Which I guess is kinda pointless since he is generally more interested in the male species. Any other Biggest Loser fans out there?
